Python Class: Level III
This Python seminar is the sequel and the final part of our Python classes for beginners in three parts. The topics of our introductory classes "Level I", - e.g. conditional statements, loops, functions and recursive functions - and the intermediate course "Level II" with object oriented programming and modules, will be recapitulated at the beginning of this seminar. The core themes of this training are C extensions, graphical user interfaces (GUI) and system administration with Python. Threads and forks are also covered.
Target Group:
This class is ideal for those who have already mastered our Level II class or for those who are familiar with the basic data structures and programming constructs of Python like conditional statements, both the while and the for loops. The data structures lists, tuples and dictionaries. The participants should understand the concepts of functions and recursive functions.
This seminar start with a concise recapitulation of data structures like lists and dictionaries and the string facilities of Python, regular expressions, modules and packages, lambda, map, filter, list comprehension and object oriented programming.
The focus of the course lies on the following topics:
- Extending Python with C
- Python GUI's with Tkinter
- Forks and Forking in Python
- Threads
- System Administration with Python
